Your Privacy at NewsDesk World
NewsDesk World is a news site that anyone can read for free. We wrote this short note so you know exactly what happens to your data while you are here.
In short
- No accounts, sign-ups or mailing lists.
- No cookies in your browser.
- No analytics, ad networks or tracking pixels.
- Only basic server logs, needed to keep the site online.
Reading articles
Opening a page does not require you to tell us who you are. To deliver the page, your browser connects to our server, and the server writes a log entry: your IP address, the address of the page, the browser name and the date and time. We look at these logs only to fix errors and to stop attacks or abuse. We do not sell them or share them for marketing.
Search box
The search box sends the words you enter to our server, which returns the matching stories. Search requests are not stored in any reader profile, because we keep no reader profiles at all.
Cookies and trackers
Our pages do not place cookies on your device. We also do not embed third-party scripts that follow you across the web.
Sources and sponsored links
Every story names the outlet it is based on and links to it. Some stories also carry a link from a publishing partner; such links are marked as sponsored. Once you follow any link to another site, that site's own privacy rules apply, and we have no control over them.
When this note changes
If the way the site works changes, we will edit this note and change the date below.
