Paradisus Cancun Adds Wellness Spaces After Its Renovation

Travel ·

Meliá's Paradisus Cancun, which held its grand opening on Oct. 18, now offers a recovery suite, facials and daily fitness classes alongside Mexican cultural workshops.

Paradisus Cancun, a Meliá Hotels International resort, has built a wellness focus into its all-inclusive stays. It held its grand opening on October 18, after reopening in April following a major renovation.

Alberto Lalinde, Meliá's Vice President of Operations America, called the result "a true wellness playground where guests can connect with themselves, with each other, and with the destination."

Rest, recovery and facials

The Longevity Suite is the recovery space. It has vibroacoustic loungers, meditation and mindfulness sessions, PEMF and compression therapies by Therabody, Celluma light technology and sleep masks.

FACE SPAce by Comfort Zone offers five 40-minute facials: Plump-Up, Rejuvenating, Ultra Glow, Detox & Tone and Ice Splash. Add-on treatments cover the neck and décolleté, eyes and hands. Red Light Yoga and Red Light Face Mask Workshops by Therabody round out the red light programming.

Daily classes and culture

Daily programming runs on four pillars: Mental Clarity, Core & Flexibility, High Intensity and Conscious Living. The YHI Moves fitness centre is open 24 hours, with cardio and strength equipment, a Pilates studio and barre. Classes include yoga, breathwork, functional training, dance and water-based fitness, plus Disco Spinning, sound healing and ice baths.

The Destination Inclusive program offers ancestral rituals, artisan workshops, local gastronomy and cultural storytelling. Guests can make sahumerio with copal and aromatic herbs, try Huichol beadwork, macramé, alebrijes or mural painting, and join Mexican wine and tequila tastings. Two WOW Experiences, "The Birth of the Jaguar Warrior" and "Día de Muertos Storytelling," use narration, music, dance and performance.

The renovation also covered the suites, The Reserve, YHI Spa, restaurants and entertainment spaces. Family Concierge Lounge, Aquazone's Splash Island, a redesigned Kidsdom and the Play District Sports Bar were updated as well.

The Reserve is adults-only, with enhanced services and privileges. Family Concierge offers tailored services for families. Both come with a dedicated Destination Concierge.
