MeridianLink Adds GryphonHR I-9 and E-Verify Tools to TazWorks

Business ·

MeridianLink has teamed up with GryphonHR to make its Form I-9 and E-Verify technology available to consumer reporting agencies on the TazWorks platform, giving them a configurable way to handle employment eligibility checks for clients.

MeridianLink has announced a partnership with GryphonHR that brings the latter's Form I-9 and E-Verify technology to consumer reporting agencies (CRAs) working on MeridianLink's TazWorks platform. The aim is to let those agencies give their own clients a more flexible and better-supported way of handling employment eligibility compliance. The integration is intended to slot into the workflow the agencies already use.

A specialist in one area of compliance

GryphonHR deals exclusively with the electronic Form I-9 and E-Verify instead of offering them as one module inside a broad HR suite. The company argues that this focus matters most when a case falls outside the standard process, for example an internal audit, an E-Verify mismatch, a rehire or a remote hire, an extension of TPS or EAD status, or a complicated reverification. Its team has more than 30 years of combined experience with I-9 and E-Verify, and customers facing something unusual can speak to knowledgeable staff directly rather than waiting in a support queue on their own.

The same approach applies to onboarding. Implementation is guided, and the platform is set up to match each customer's organizational structure and working methods instead of forcing the customer to adapt to the software. GryphonHR says this configurability continues after launch and covers complex hierarchies as well as compliance requirements specific to a single customer.

Built for remote hiring

The platform allows the I-9 to be completed remotely, including through the DHS Alternative Procedure and GryphonHR's own Verifier process, and it works on a phone or tablet as well as on a desktop computer. Continuous compliance monitoring is meant to keep records in order ahead of an audit, so that customers do not have to gather them in a hurry afterwards. Marc Villella, president and CEO of GryphonHR, said the company is very excited about the partnership, called TazWorks the premier platform in the background screening industry, and said the Form I-9 and E-Verify products will be offered to every CRA on TazWorks and to their clients. MeridianLink supplies cloud-based technology to financial institutions and consumer reporting agencies and serves thousands of organizations across the United States.
