Swanson Vitamins Launches Nexus Pro Network for Dietitians

Professional ·

The supplement maker's new network offers continuing education, student practicum support and exam-fee scholarships to registered dietitians and licensed nutritionists.

Swanson Vitamins has launched Swanson Vitamins Nexus Pro, a network for registered dietitians and licensed nutritionists. The company says it covers every stage of a career, from students to providers with decades of experience.

The network was introduced at the Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo, the annual conference of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. The event runs October 24-27 in San Antonio.

What members get

Practicing professionals receive continuing education accredited for CPEUs and profession-wide promotion. Students in dietetics and nutrition get practicum support and scholarships toward the fees for licensing or credentialing exams.

Swanson describes the offer as educational resources, incentives and investments for practitioners who share the company's commitment to what it calls uncompromising integrity. The profession-wide promotion is meant to highlight the experts who guide consumers' wellness decisions.

Applications are open. Swanson says scholarship amounts and practicum support details will be announced in the coming weeks.

The company describes the network as created by nutrition professionals for nutrition professionals. Swanson's reasoning is that consumers are taking a more active role in their health and turn more often to dietitians and nutritionists for science-backed guidance. The network is meant to help those professionals strengthen their credentials and build expertise in areas consumers ask about.

"Since 1969, we have been committed to uncompromising integrity in service of everyone's journey to real wellness, and we believe real wellness starts with the experts who guide it," said Erin Del Ponte, EVP of brand marketing at Swanson Vitamins. She added that registered dietitians and licensed nutritionists translate nutrition science into practical, personalized guidance.
