Oak View Group Picks Payactiv for Earned Wage Access
OVG will offer employees at more than 40 US locations access to wages they have already earned, plus budgeting tools, through Payactiv.
Oak View Group (OVG) has chosen Payactiv to bring Earned Wage Access and financial wellness services to employees at its U.S. operations. The company announced the move on October 22.
The service will cover more than 40 locations. The release describes the network as one of the largest in live entertainment venues in the country. Employees can draw wages they have already earned, and no-fee options are available.
What employees get
Alongside the pay access, workers get tools for managing everyday budgets, unexpected costs and longer-term financial goals. OVG says the arrangement gives it a scalable way to offer financial flexibility to its workforce. It runs on Payactiv's infrastructure, which connects employers, payroll systems and financial services.
"This agreement with Payactiv enables us to give on-demand pay to employees so that they can use their hard-earned wages in the moments that matter most to them," said Dan Griffis, President, Global Partnerships at Oak View Group.
The rollout starts with more than 40 venues nationwide. Six of them belong to the OVG Alliance and are paired with teams: Amerant Bank Arena and the Florida Panthers, UBS Arena and the New York Islanders, Gainbridge Fieldhouse and the Indiana Pacers, Rocket Arena and the Cleveland Cavaliers, Spectrum Center and the Charlotte Hornets, and Toyota Center and the Houston Rockets.
Safwan Shah, co-founder and CEO of Payactiv, said the people who create experiences for millions of fans deserve greater control over their own pay. "OVG is putting its people first by giving employees access to money they have already earned, when they need it," he said.
The deal also includes recognition for front-line staff. Plans cover in-game employee recognition, annual staff appreciation events, and social, digital and in-arena storytelling about the people behind the guest experience. The partnership will also introduce Payactiv to fans and visitors across OVG's venues.
